My Top Skincare Picks for 2020

I started out this year wanting to stick to one brand and one brand only - I FAILED miserably at that. Why limit myself? I have access to some of the most beautiful brands and distributers, so why not give them all a chance. Honestly, if I hadn’t, I would never had met the love of my life in the form of a mist.

All right, let’s see who won for 2020...

This face wash blew my mind. Blew it wide open. HoliFrog sent over their face wash line earlier in the year and the standout product had to be Tashmoo.

She is a thin, milky, soft and gentle face wash that I love to use in my morning routine. It adds a deep layer of moisture before the serums even start and since using this, my skin has lost it’s tight awful feeling I sometimes get after cleansing (especially in the morning). Fresh is well known for their Rose line, specifically their gorgeous rose petal mask (which I also love).

They added this deep hydration toner to their rose lineup and not only is it visually stunning with the floating petals, the ingredients are amazing. Rose water, rose oil, rose petals and rose extract! It's a lot. It has a decent scent to it which has caused a touch of redness in my skin, but I still go back to it for how soft it makes my skin. When I saw Hyram's review of the DeliKate line from Kate Somerville, I knew it was for me and ordered promptly.

This cream is luxury in a jar! It is quite thick, but once its patted or rubbed in, it thins out and melts into the skin. It provides a beautiful layer of protecting moisture which is lovely in the colder months and truly helps with irritation. Whenever I used a peel or an AHA (ex: glycolic acid) for chemical exfoliation, I reached for this to soothe my skin and nourish the new baby soft skin. I loved it in the morning and evenings and even under makeup! Check out the whole DeliKate line here

Allies of Skin literally took Instagram over for me this year, they were all anyone was talking about and using! Their prices are exorbitant, but wow, is their stuff good.

I tried out six of their products and my favourite has to be the Triple Hyaluronic Antioxidant Hydration serum. The ingredients are insane, like how many amazing things can they really fit in a serum?! I have found very few serums that can combat my very dry skin and this one packs a punch. Its a thicker texture so it feels almost like a light moisturizer. And as we all know hyaluronic acid is the gold standard for keep our skin nice and hydrated. Alright, so my favourite product of 2020 and my favourite product EVER has to be the Sea Vitamin Boost from Osea Malibu.

This stunning mist from Osea shook me to my core because of how hydrating it is. When I realized my skin was not only dry, but dehydrated, this beauty saved the day. It's a strong mist and it somehow sticks to the skin like glue and absorbs after a good patting in. I love using this right after cleansing to seal in hydration and boost the effects of my hyaluronic acid I apply over it. My skin is instantly, and I mean instantly, plumped up. The more I use it the more supple my skin becomes and the more radiant it looks. I cannot live without it!

I believe in Osea as a brand, because of how spa like they are yet how effective the products are. They do exactly as they say, are gentle and have phenomenal ocean and algae based ingredients. The frosted glass packaging is stunning and looks so luxurious on my countertop and vanity. I never have to worry about dehydrated skin!
